Accessible Technology Study Participants Needed

A graduate student team in the Computer Science department at the University of Maryland. Our research team is studying how to make the next generation of mobile computing technology more accessible, particularly for people with visual or motor impairments.

We are recruiting blind and visually impaired participants who are 18 years of age or older.

The study will ask you to perform simple tasks that are similar to everyday mobile device use, like tapping on buttons or navigating through emails. We are also collecting basis demographic information and feedback on the mobile devices.

Study session will be conducted at our lab on the University of Maryland, College Park campus. In rare circumstances, we may be able to arrange in-person sessions at a location that is more convenient to you. The study will take up to two hours and you will be compensated $30 for your time. Participants with disabilities will also receive $50 toward transportation costs, making the total compensation $80.
