Visitors are welcome to stay after the tours for the Take 5! Jazz Concert in the Kogod Courtyard at 5pm.
The America InSight tours are public tours for patrons who are blind or have low vision.
Inspired by the success of Art Signs, the Smithsonian American Art Museum recently launched a series of tours for visitors who are blind or partially sighted. A corps of docents and museum educators have been specifically trained in techniques of verbal description and touch to bring artworks to life for guests who cannot see them.
America InSight tours are held twice a month, on a Thursday and Sunday. Please check back for future dates.
