Blind Awareness & White Cane Day WalkA collaboration of Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind, American Council of the Blind, National Federation of the Blind, the DC Commission on Persons with Disabilities, and the DC Office of Disability Rights enthusiastically invite you to a Blind Awareness Day celebration, a community event on a national day to recognize persons who are blind or visually impaired.

To begin, join us at 2:30 pm for an exciting rally walk to the White House complete with photo opportunities. The walk will begin and end at the historic John A. Wilson Building.

At 4:00 pm immediately following the rally walk,  your presence is requested at the John A. Wilson Building for a reception with light refreshments and a proclamation of festivities. This exclusive event is open to select invitees.
