Maryland School for the Blind offers short course programs to students in 1st-12th grade throughout the school year and during the summer. Due to their unique needs, blind and visually impaired students often require specialized instruction in certain important areas. There is no cost for these programs.
So You Thought You Would Never Use It – Math in My World
July 7 – July 25, 2014
For middle and high school students
Students learn how math is in every area of their life; home management, personal finances, community travel, activities of daily living, and event recreation and leisure. Students will gain practice and utilize adaptive math tools and strategies that they can use at home and in school. Special paid work experience component is available for high school students 15 years and older!
