Hala Cooper, Assistive Technology Specialist
Hala was certified as an Assistive Technology (AT) instructor at World Services for the Blind in Little Rock, Arkansas. As part of the program, she conducted over 500 hours of AT instruction for individuals and groups. She is certified to teach the following applications using JAWS: Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Hala has a passion for Apple products and she feels that it is such a joy to have the opportunity to teach students how to use assistive technology to their advantage. In the past, Hala has taught English and Braille to blind and visually impaired adults, co-hosted a radio program on politics and human rights, and volunteered on a domestic violence hotline. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the American University of Beirut.
