- What can I donate?
We accept most vehicles and vessels including but not limited to
cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RV’s.
-
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes, we are classified with the IRS as non-profit charitable
organization. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent
of the law. Individual tax situations vary so please check
with a tax professional to determine the tax benefit you may
receive.
-
What do I need to donate my vehicle?
We would like the title to the vehicle, but you can still donate
your vehicle without it.
- My car hasn’t run in years, can I still donate it?
Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles – running or not
(exceptions include older vehicles whose value would not offset
the cost of towing).
- Can you pick up vehicles in all 50 states?
Yes, we are able to pick up accepted vehicles in the continental
U.S.
and
Hawaii.
- How will the car be picked up?
We will arrange to have your vehicle towed away by a professionally
licensed, bonded, and insured towing company.
- How long will it take to pick up my car?
You will be contacted within three or four business days at the
most. If you need your car picked up sooner, please let
us know as we may be able to make those arrangements as well.
-
How is the value of my car determined?
The IRS allows you, the taxpayer, to claim tax deduction of (a) $500
or (b) the amount for which the vehicle is sold, if over
$500.00. If we sell the vehicle for more than $500, you will
be mailed a postcard with the sale value for your tax
purposes. For additional information, IRS provides a Donor’s
Guide to Car Donations that sets forth the manner in which the IRS requires you to
determine the value of your donated property. Please feel free
to contact us with any further questions you may have.
