Deck the halls at columbia lighthouse for the blind's
Annual holiday party for children with impaired vision

WHAT: Each year, Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind invites blind and visually impaired children in the metropolitan area to a party to celebrate the holiday season with other children and families who share their same challenges. Over 50 children and their respective family members attend each year!

At this special event, children who are blind or visually impaired and their siblings will have the opportunity to meet Santa, played by CLB’s Computer Specialist Will Mincey who is himself blind. The children will tell Santa their greatest Christmas wish, show off their unique talents through caroling sing-a-longs, and participate in arts and craft activities. To close the event, Santa will present each child with an appropriate gift.

This extraordinary event is a wonderful occasion for blind and visually impaired children to utilize their independent living and mobility skills, and is a great social and recreational opportunity.
