Contribute to Our Work

Through your support, Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind (CLB) is able to fund our children’s programs, rehabilitation services, senior services, career and assistive technology services and much, much more! Your donation means a great deal to us, but even more to the men, women and children who rely on CLB to help them through the most difficult times of their lives.

Thank you for supporting our programs and services to help individuals who are blind and visually impaired obtain and maintain their independence!

“I got a little bit of my soul back.”

If I didn’t go to the Lighthouse, I wouldn’t have known how to be independent, being newly blind. When I first went blind, I thought my life was over. When I went to the Lighthouse, I got a little bit of my soul back.

Planned Giving

Since 1900, revenue from bequests has enabled Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind (CLB) to help adults and children who are blind and visually impaired live independent and productive lives. If supported through an outright gift or planned gift, all of CLB’s programs are made possible through the generosity and commitment of people like you. A planned gift to CLB helps to ensure the future of the services and programs we provide in your community, and may further your long-term financial goals with tax benefits. A bequest may be for a fixed dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or a residuary percentage of your estate. If you wish to include CLB in your will, please contact Jocelyn Hunter, Senior Director of Communications, at 202-454-6422 or jhunter@clb.org for more information.
