Why your gift matters

Why your gift matters

Without CLB, getting the equivalent one-on-one training can take up to six months. Your gift makes sure that wait does not define someone's future.

More than half of the people we serve retain some usable vision. With the right tools and training, vision loss does not have to mean losing your independence.

  • About 20M Americans live with vision impairment, about 8 percent of the population
  • 2.5x more likely to be unemployed than their sighted peers
  • 15% of people with vision loss earn under twenty thousand dollars a year
  • $130B is the annual economic cost of vision loss in the United States
