January 2026, Washington, D.C. — Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind (CLB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Rebecca Liko as Chief Executive Officer and Zachary Brewer as Chief Operating Officer. This leadership team will guide CLB through its next phase of growth, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to empowering people who are blind or visually impaired to thrive in work, life, and community.

“After a thoughtful search and a period of transitional leadership, the board is confident that Rebecca and Zachary bring the vision, experience, and passion necessary to build on CLB’s strong foundation,” said Board Chair Dr. Amy Dufrane. “Rebecca’s deep institutional knowledge coupled with Zachary’s operational expertise will ensure that CLB continues to deliver exceptional programs and expand its impact across the communities we serve.”

As Chief Executive Officer, Rebecca Liko will lead CLB’s strategic vision, organizational performance, and long-term growth. She will oversee enterprise-wide strategy, financial stewardship, and external partnerships while guiding the organization through its next phase of impact and sustainability. Having successfully led CLB through a period of transition as Interim CEO and Interim CFO Consultant, Rebecca brings deep institutional knowledge and a disciplined, results-driven approach to executive leadership.

 In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Zachary Brewer will focus on strengthening operational effectiveness and alignment between strategy and daily execution. Zachary’s leadership will support cross-functional teams and scale CLB’s programs and services to meet growing community needs.

Together with the senior leadership team, Rebecca and Zachary will prioritize expanding CLB’s impact, enhancing service delivery, and advancing opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired.
