Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind Hosts Light the Way 5K at Nationals Park
What:
Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind (CLB) invites you to its 3rd annual Light the Way 5K, an awareness and fundraising event organized to support programs and services for people who are blind, deaf-blind, and visually impaired. Events include a scenic run/walk along the Capitol Riverfront and ending on the National’s Park warning track, Kids’ Race, live music, silent auction, and great food!

Light the Way 5K co-chairs: Mark D. Lerner, one of the Principal Owners of the Washington Nationals, and Steve Neibergall, President of Safeway’s Eastern Division
Runners and walkers from across the country
Light the Way 5K’s Committee Members, which include representatives from local businesses, Fortune 500 companies, and nonprofit organizations serving the blindness community
When:
Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 6:30 a.m. – noon

7:40 a.m. – Opening ceremony remarks by Tony Cancelosi, President and CEO of CLB, Mark D. Lerner, one of the Principal Owners of the Washington Nationals, and Steve Neibergall, President of Safeway’s Eastern Division
8:00 am – Kid’s race
8:00 am – 5K timed run start
8:45 am – Walk start
